Once upon a time one of lord Shiva devotee was worshiping him Eventually, lord Shiva got contented, and appeared in front of devotee when devotee saw lord Shiva with folded palms he asked help from lord Shiva then lord Shiva said what kind of boon you desires for. After a while devotee said I want a person in my life who can help me to become successful, and make me resilient then lord Shiva said so be it, and explained how he will find that person lord Shiva told devotee go your home, and look in the mirror you will find him then lord Shiva disappeared when devotee went home and look in the mirror, and saw himself then he realised he is the one who can help himself to achieve his dreams.
